The Meso-mammals of Kentucky

September 17 @ 5:15 pm - 7:30 pm

Join us for a presentation on the meso-mammals of Kentucky with wildlife biologist Courtney Hayes

Presenter: Courtney Hayes, Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife

Learn about the mammalian meso-predators that live among us in Kentucky. For these mammals, it’s eat or be eaten. Join Floracliff and Wildlife Biologist Courtney Hayes with the At-Risk Species division of the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources to learn about the mammalian mesopredators we have living in Kentucky. From eastern spotted skunks, to gray foxes, to short-tailed weasels, learn about the secretive predators that help balance our modern-day wild ecosystems. You will also hear some tips and tricks for setting your own trail cameras to optimize images for these critters and how you can contribute to larger state-wide monitoring projects.

This program is part of the Bluegrass Biodiversity Seminar Series, which offers free evening presentations on Kentucky’s natural history and biodiversity in the historic Trail’s End Lodge.

This program is generously sponsored by Charley and Kim Sither to make attendance free for all participants.
